Chopper Spins Uncontrollably into Palm Trees at Frequented California Shoreline
An aircraft soaring near a well-attended southern California beach unexpectedly commenced twirling out of control, ultimately descending rapidly and crashing into a cluster of palm groves as beachgoers looked on.
Recordings uploaded online depict the aircraft commencing to spiral near the beach then descending in the direction of the edge of the shore, where it ends up lodged between palm trees and a steps adjacent to the coastal road.
Rescue Operation Information
The Huntington Beach fire department stated five people were rushed to the hospital including two who were in the helicopter and were “rescued from the debris” following the crash on the weekend.
Three persons on the road were harmed. Specifics on their wounds were not yet released.
The reason for the accident was not yet disclosed.
